Walk Me To My Car app Review

Description:

Have you ever been out for a full day of shopping and on your way back to your car you forgot where you parked?  This is a situation that has happened to everyone at one time or another.  Well now there is a way that you can avoid this situation altogether.  It comes in the form of the Walk Me To My Car app.  This navigation app is great because it utilizes GPS to be able to find your car.  All you have to do once you park your car is to tap the Pin Car button on the iPhone app.  This will save your car’s location on the GPS so you can locate it later.  Once you get done with your errands you tap the Walk Me button on the app and follow the directions to your car.  Once you are close, the phone will begin to vibrate and let you know that your car is in sight.  Be aware that the navigation app is meant to be used in outdoor parking lots and not indoor garages.  The GPS doesn’t work as well in the indoor garages, so you may not get the same results.

One of the other features of the iPhone is that it uses the 3GS compass to help you locate your car.  While it is not completely accurate, it is close enough to help you get within sight of your vehicle.  Before you download the app you will want to check the accuracy indicator if it is red, green, or yellow.  If it is yellow or green then you can use the app and it will be fairly accurate.  If it is red, then you probably shouldn’t use the app.  Also remember that a GPS’s accuracy can also be affected by bad weather and landscape features.

Once you find your car on the GPS, you can fix the location point by just tapping and dragging the green button.  As you start to approach your car, the accuracy will improve and you will love having the app at your disposal to find your car quickly after a long day of chaos.

Features:

  • Features three different accuracy settings: Green, Yellow, and Red
  • The app is as simple as pressing the “Pin Car” button and the “Walk Me”
  • Utilizes GPS to show you where your car has been pinpointed

Conclusion:

Voted 4 1/2 stars by iPhone navigation app users and is only $0.99 to download.
