Description:

How many times a day do you crave pizza?  If you are like the normal American it’s probably around a thousand.  Pizza is the perfect meal to complement any situation, whether it is watching a sports game or maybe you just brushed your teeth and you don’t like the taste of your toothpaste.  Whatever it is, pizza always makes it better.  The Pizza Finder iPhone app uses GPS to find you up to  thirty pizza places that are in your area.  You get a plethora of information including the phone number, a map with driving directions, and a place where you can see how well the pizzeria was rated by other users.

One of the other nice things about this app is that pizza places are able to upload any specials that they might be having so that you can take advantage of those.  It really bridges the gap between the pizzerias and the party animals that crave it.  Once you find a pizza place you like then you can either go pick up your pizza or you can have them deliver it to you, whatever you prefer.  Download the Pizza Finder iphone app and never go hungry again!

Features:

• This app will automatically find out exactly where your current location is so that you can find out how long your pizza will take to get to you or how long it will take for you to go get it
• This app will give you up to thirty pizza shop results so you have  a large variety of different pizzerias to choose from
• You can get all kinds of information on the pizzeria including delivery, any specials that they have going on, the dine-in options, and anything else that the pizza place offers to put up there
• To call the pizza place you need only tap the call button and it will automatically connect you to the appropriate phone line to place an order or ask a question
• You can also tap on the map button to see where the business is on the map as well as find some great directions to the institution
• Once you have eaten the pizza you are able to post your own review and rating so that other people who use the app will have good information on which pizza places they should avoid and which ones are totally worth the money

Conclusion:

Everyone who loves pizza should love this app.  Probably way more important to a college kid then knowing where gas stations are.  Honestly, this is a fun little GPS app that lets you find pizza places around town that you didn’t even know existed.  The ratings system is also nice so that you know which ones to stay away from and which ones have delicious slices of pizza.  Not a ton of features included but who cares as long as you get your pizza!

GPS Stone Trip Recorder iPhone app Review

Description:

This location and navigation app was created to help you record and export all of your different trips so that you can manage them with your choice of geo-tagging or photo tagging edits.  You can watch the map while you are traveling to see your trip in real time and see your current speed in mph or km/h.   This app will even let you see what your maximum speeds were during the trip as well as your overall average speed.  You can also see the altitude of your  location as well as the total distance traveled and the direction you were going the entire time.  Once you have recorded the trip you can edit the details or delete it if you decide you don’t want that information anymore.

Features:

• This GPS based location app has a few main features that help set it apart from other navigation apps that are out there on the mobile market today
• One of these is that you can actually take you GPX and send it by mail
• You can also choose your different units of measurement for your recorded trips.  This would include mph or km/h
• Once you have created a trip you can either keep it in your log or you can rename it if you would like.  You also have the ability to delete any old trips that you don’t use anymore
• There is also a built in compass to this app so you can always know what direction you are traveling and essentially never be lost
• You can record your speeds for any trip that you take.  You can see instant speeds, the max speeds you went, as well as your overall average speed for the entire trip
• If you get a phone call in the middle of your trip recording then you can auto-restart your recording as soon as you get off the phone
• You can watch the map and see exactly where you are traveling if you want to
• Once you have recorded your trip you can edit the information and put the exact date and time of each trip

Conclusion:

This is a very simple navigation and while it has some notable features, it is not nearly as good as a lot of the other free apps out there.  If you are going to get a free navigation app for the Android you are better off looking into the Google GPS Navigation ones.  But if you aren’t picky about your location apps then this one is as good as any.

Description:

There are a lot of different airport guides and itinerary help apps but none come close to giving the information and service that the Airport & Flight Guide – iFly Pro iPhone app gives.  You will get a comprehensive guide to over 500 different airports and all of the little side errands that go with it.  You can find out about your flight number, whether or not your flight has been delayed, information on baggage claims, and even ideas for layovers!  This is a great app to answer any questions that you may have about the airport or the flight that you will be taking.

Aside from basic information about the actual scheduling of the flight, you can also get info on what types of ID you will need for your destination, what the baggage weight limits and standards are, tips on how to travel with children and pets, and even info on where to park your car while you are gone.  There really has never been an easier way to get prepared to take a flight, whether it be for business or a well-needed vacation.

• There is information and other details on over 400 different commercial airports from around the world
• You can also access different cafes, restaurants, and shopping stores
• You can find maps to help you do you find your terminals as well as where to park
• You can get airline numbers, routes, and arrival and destination times
• Gives you a list of ideas that you can do during layovers
• You get WiFi coverage with this app
• At each airport you can find out the different rates for parking as well as info for ground transportation fees
• Get information on baggage claim and terminal standards and rates
• You can see the status of thousands of different flights
• You can also see exchange rates and the location of ATM’s at the airports
• See whether or not your flight is on schedule or if it has been delayed or canceled
• See where the closest airport is according to your current location
• Can rotate the maps and use zooming and panning options to be able to see everything you need to

Conclusion:

A little bit on the expensive side, but this app has enough features and options to make it worth it; especially if you travel a lot.  This is a great business expense if your job is taking you all over the world.  You may not always have control over the flights themselves, but you can have control over knowing about it.
