Trails – GPS Tracker iPhone app Review

Description:

The Trails – GPS Tracker iPhone app is the perfect companion for those people that love to spend their exercise time outdoors.  Whether you love to run, hike, jog, walk, or bike, this is an easy way that you can record your progress along the way.  The Tracker app will record the speed you are moving at, the distance you are running, as well as the total time it takes you to finish your course.  It is directly connected to bikely.com, everytrail.com, and mapmyrun.com so that you can upload your runs and jogs for future reference.  You can also import other tracks from these sites so that you get some new routes to run and bike.  It is a great way to record your progress and push yourself.

Once you have recorded your tracks using the app, you can get on the OpenStreetMap page and toggle between map views and other additional information.  Also, once you have recorded a map you can refer back to it even when you are offline.  This track storage is great for times when you are out of range of WiFi and would still like to refer back to your previous routes.

Last of all, the Trails – GPS Tracker iPhone app allows you to do as much editing to your track as you would like.  You can record waypoints, altitude, and so much more.  Once you are done editing you can export these tracks as GPX files right to the websites to share them with friends and family.
